The Blue Box is a powerful system that can be installed on every type of ship. It performs a continuous check of the on board status and informs the Vessel Tracking Centre through a suitable TLC system (Inmarsat, HF/VHF/UHF radio set, etc.).
An user-friendly LCD touchscreen Keyboard Display Unit (KDU) allows the visualisation of the navigation data coming from the management unit and the activation of the alarm and control message procedures. It can be also used for navigation purposes by exploiting the route and waypoint data base facility.
